Calling all artists, doodlers, fish fans, creative thinkers. Program partners, participants, friends, students and kids are welcome and encouraged to apply.
As we continue to share the story of endangered fish recovery in the Upper Colorado and San Juan River Basins, the Program Director’s Office (PDO) is looking for new, engaging sticker designs to support outreach and education efforts.
We’re looking for two types of stickers:
- 🧊 One for adults (think coolers, boats, laptops)
- 🎨 One for kids (think fun, colorful, and impossible to ignore)
All submissions must be received by midnight June 30, 2026.
🐟 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for designs that highlight the species, landscapes, and work of the Recovery Programs—something people will want to put on water bottles, coolers, boats, and notebooks.
Each participant may submit up to 2 designs total (one per category).
Each design must:
- Feature one endangered fish species from the Recovery Program
- Include the species name (common name is sufficient)
- Include the website: www.coloradoriverrecovery.org
- Be original artwork created by the submitter
- Be suitable for reproduction as a sticker (clear, bold, and easy to read)

Please include:
- Artist name, email and phone number (if applicable)
- Category (Adult or Kids)
- Species featured
Accepted file formats: PDF, PNG, JPG, or vector formats (AI, EPS, SVG preferred for final production).
📢 THE FINE PRINT
Usage and rights: By submitting a design, you grant permission for the Recovery Programs to use, reproduce, and distribute the design for outreach and educational purposes. Minor adjustments (such as sizing or formatting) may be made for production. Artists will be credited whenever possible. All sticker submissions will be posted on our website when winners are announced to celebrate your efforts. Non-winning stickers may still be printed.
WINNERS
Winners will be selected by the Program Director’s Office based on creativity, clarity, and how well the design communicates the spirit of recovery. The winner will be asked to create designs for the other three species to produce a matching set. The Program will provide a $1000 stipend for the four designs in each of the categories.
Winners will be announced at our summer BC meeting on July 13.
