After many months of effort, the draft Colorado Pikeminnow Recovery Plan is ready for review on the Fish and Wildlife Website. The plan will be open for a 60-day public comment period. Recovery Plans are non-regulatory documents that act as a guidebook towards a shared goal of ensuring a species’ long-term survival in the wild. This draft recovery plan is a revision of the previous 2002 Recovery Plan; updates include the best available scientific information.

The plan was developed by a team of experts and then reviewed by both the Upper Colorado and San Juan programs prior to distribution. Special thanks to Paul Badame, Kevin Bestgen, Kelly Cambridge, Harry Crockett, Scott Durst, Darek Elverud, Jacob Mazzone, William Miller, Matt Zeigler, Craig Hansen, Kevin McAbee and Tildon Jones for their time and effort in updating this document.
If you would like to provide comments for the plan, please follow this process outlined in this link.
