Adaptive Management and Guiding Documents

The Program uses adaptive management to guide decisions and change recommendations over time. The many documents under this subheading provide information to support that process, while also fulfilling the Program’s dual goals of recovering listed species and allowing water development to continue.

The figure below shows how each of the Program’s steps contribute to the adaptive management process.

Four large circles covering components of the program that contribute to the adaptive management cycle. Work plans result in reporting, which is synthesized in the RIPAP and reported in sufficient progress memos. Information then flows back into the bi-annual work process.
